- FEATURES:
-
- Large Capacity and Low Cost- The TN-100 notches 3/4"
through 2" O.D. tubing at angles up to 50 degrees in under
20 seconds. It uses commonly available bimetal hole saws costing
approximately $12. A single bimetal hole saw will typically notch
3 to 5 complete cars
-
- Easy To Use- The TN-100 may be mounted in a drill
press or simply clamped in a vise and used with a 1/2" hand
drill. The 1/2" hand drill setup is by far the best in our
opinion. In this way the TN-100 can be laid horizontal and when
notching 45 degree angles the floor will not interfere with the
tubing being notched. Also, since the hand drill is fed in horizontally,
the drill's weight doesn't try to force the hole saw in too fast.
-
- Heavy Duty Frame-Entirely CNC machined, the frame
is made from 1/2" thick 6061-T6 and its face has been milled
flat. The degree increments are then machined directly into the
frame. An all position swivel insures an easy setup.
-
- Rigid Bearing Block- This is the most critical part
of a hole saw style notcher. The TN-100's bearing block uses
twin needle bearings and separate grease seals for maximum rigidity
and reliability. We could of used the cheaper bronze bushings,
but then you'd be replacing them every job and cussing us too.
-
- Strong, Accurate Tube Cradle- As can be seen in the
picture, the entire cradle assembly has been designed to be tough,
accurate and easy to use. By CNC machining the cradle out of
a solid steel block we know the tube will be notched in the exact
middle. Plasma cut and welded cradles can't come close to the
accuracy of the TN-100. The clamp mechanism rides in its own
guide ad has also been machined from a solid block of steel.
This eliminates the problems of tube walk in notchers that use
a U-strap.
